## **1. Objectives and Activities** 

## Charitable Objectives: 

Our aim is to improve academic outcomes and lifelong learning opportunities for young people aged 9–16 and adults in the Greater Manchester area. We focus on providing extra tuition in core GCSE subjects like Maths, English, and Science, and also offer adult classes in essential academic and computer skills." 

Main Activities During the Year: 

## **After-School Tutoring Sessions** 

- Weekly Maths, English, and Science tuition for students aged 9–16. 

- One-on-one and small group formats led by qualified volunteer tutors. 

- Homework clubs hosted at local community centres or libraries. 

## **Exam Preparation Workshops** 

- Half-term or holiday revision camps focused on GCSE exam readiness. 

- Mock exams and confidence-building test strategies. 

- Targeted support for students identified as at risk of underperformance. 

## **Adult Learning Evening Classes** 

- Basic English and numeracy for adults with no formal qualifications. 

- Functional IT skills classes (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, internet safety). 

- ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for migrant learners. 

## **Volunteer Tutor Training and Development** 

- Initial training and ongoing CPD for volunteers. 

- Safeguarding, inclusive education, and behaviour management modules. 



## **Digital Learning Support** 

- Providing online classes via Zoom or Teams for students unable to attend in person. 

- Digital literacy training for both young people and adults. 

All these activities advance our mission of building stronger, more resilient individuals and communities.
