The charity is a CIO governed by its Constitution adopted on 20 December 2023. Trustees are responsible for governance and compliance with charity law. 

## **3. Objectives and Activities** 

The charity’s objects are to preserve and conserve heritage railway assets in the 9.5 gauge for the public benefit. 

## **4. Achievements and Performance** 

During the year, the charity imported three 9.5 inch gauge locomotives from South Africa to conserve them in the UK. The charity did not take on these assets for charitable use as the restoration scope was beyond the charity’s current capacity. 

Aside from facilitating the import, no further activities were undertaken. The trustees focused on establishing the charity.

The trustees do not plan significant activities in the short term but will continue to monitor opportunities to further the charity’s aims.
