## **Trustees’ Annual Report** 

## **1. Structure, governance and management** 

The Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation UK (the 'Foundation') is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered on 19 December 2023 with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. It operates under a constitution last amended in December 2023. The Foundation’s trustees serve as its sole voting members. 

The trustees manage the charity’s affairs collectively in accordance with Charity Commission guidance (CC15d and CC3). Trustees receive no remuneration and adhere to policies on conflicts of interest, financial oversight, and safeguarding. 

## **2. Objectives and activities** 

The Foundation’s charitable objects are to: 

- Preserve and protect the physical and mental health of the public through equitable access to devices and technologies that improve indoor air quality (IAQ). 

- Advance education and promote research for public benefit in the science of IAQ improvement and publish the useful results. 

During 2024, the Foundation focused on: 

- Establishing UK registration and governance processes. 

- Promoting awareness of indoor air quality through public education and demonstration projects. 

- Supporting the distribution of Corsi-Rosenthal Box kits and commercial air purifiers in community and educational settings. 

- Collaborating with academic and community partners to disseminate open-source IAQ research. 

## **3. Achievements and performance** 

- Developed the Foundation’s UK website and outreach materials. 

- Supported community volunteers constructing low-cost air cleaners for schools and healthcare settings. 

- Donated air purifiers to individuals meeting our eligibility requirements. 

- Initiated discussions with universities and other organisations to explore IAQ research and wider collaborations. 

- Participated in awareness events during Clean Air Day 2024. 

   - Ran joint educational online sessions for parents, teachers and school staff 




## **4. Financial review** 

Total income for 2024 was approximately £2,550, mainly from individual donations. Expenditure amounted to around £1,600, covering air purifier purchases and insurance. No salaries were paid and the Foundation employed no staff. No expenses were claimed. The closing balance at 31 December 2024 was approximately £950. 

The Foundation holds no restricted funds. The trustees maintain a modest cash reserve to cover administrative costs and ensure that the majority of resources are used directly for charitable purposes. 

## **5. Plans for 2025** 

The trustees intend to: 

- Apply to HMRC Charities for Gift Aid recognition. 

- Develop partnerships to deliver IAQ educational toolkits to schools. 

- Seek further donations and grants to scale up community projects. 

- Publish a report summarising findings from IAQ intervention activities. 

- Support fundraising campaigns with schools. 

- Support the practical implementation of air purifiers in schools. 

- Continue to promote education, awareness, and the development of guidelines on IAQ and best practice, including engagement with education unions and schools. 

## **6. Trustees’ responsibilities** 

The trustees are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records, safeguarding the assets of the charity, and ensuring compliance with the Charities Act 2011 and the Charity Commission’s guidance (CC15d).
