The Thalia-Beau Foundation is a charity set up in memory of our beloved child Thalia-Beau. Thalia died aged five whilst waiting for a heart and lung transplant.
Trustees are Lynn Utting, Jacqueline Haythorne, Christine Johnson and Charlotte Haythorne; all of us give our time freely and meet regularly to discuss future plans.
As a charity we aim to support families who find themselves in a similar position to us.
We do this by:

Gifts to seriously ill children in the local hospice, and local and regional hospitals

Care packages to families above by their their sides

Day trips and activities to bereaved siblings
The charity is in its formative stage and our long term plan is to continue all of the above and open a holiday home for bereaved parents and their families.
Our fundraising to do so throughout this period has included:

A Summer fair held by ourselves

Attending fairs & music events held by others

Seasonal raffles
-
Sponsorship challenges
The numbers in the accounts for the year requested are also a result from other kind people fundraising on behalf of the charity.
We have been a chosen charity of the year for a local business, have been the beneficiary of MADL (Making A Difference Locally) awards, been the sole charity chosen to receive funds from a hugely successful Three Peaks challenge, amongst much other support.
In the coming year, we are a chosen charity for a large regional business and that will show in monies raised.
