The charity is administered by the Board of Trustees, who are responsible for setting strategy, ensuring compliance with charity law, and safeguarding the charity ’ s assets. 2. Objects and Activities Objects: The object of the CIO is To connect Young Women with accessible and positive role models, whilst providing a resource platform to explore careers in the field of Data & Tech. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] and [section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008] Public Benefit: The Trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission ’ s guidance on public benefit and confirm that the charity ’ s activities have provided public benefit in furtherance of its charitable purposes. ## 3. Activities and Achievements This reporting period represents the charity ’ s initial period of operation. Activities undertaken included: - Delivered many Inspiration Sessions within Schools around the UK and a few in India to inspire children into data - Started the build of a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) - Showcased ourselves at multiple conferences - Redefined our mission and vision for the charity - Grown our volunteer base - Opened a bank account and set ourselves up on JustGiving to receive our first donations ## 4. Plans for Future Periods Planned priorities include: - Complete our 5 year plan - Hire a chair of the charity - Expand the team of volunteers - Expand curriculum - Look into grants and fundraising - Complete the build of the CRM system 5. Financial Review Total income: £5838 Total expenditure: £550 Funds at period end: £5288 ## 6. Risk Management Key risks identified: - Lack of sustainable funding currently - Need more specialisms and range of skills within the team Mitigation actions: - Begun looking into Grants and discussing financing models. - We have created a plan to hire for more trustees and part time volunteers 7.
