The Association of Chaplaincy in General Practice (ACGP) exists to define and raise awareness of best practice in Primary Care Chaplaincy; enable the development of Chaplaincy in General Practice for the wellbeing of the public through providing advice, training, resources and research; and to support those involved with GP Chaplaincy
Objects: 1. To Improve The Mental, Emotional And Spiritual Health Of Those Who Experience Ill Health, By Providing To Them, Their Family And Friends, A Chaplaincy Service Within A Primary Healthcare Or Community Setting.2. To Advance Education By Providing Training And Offering Supervision And Annual Accreditation Of Chaplaincy Practitioners In A Primary Healthcare Or Community Setting.
