Objects and aclivAtie8 £oT the members of the Federatlon
The objective of the Board of Trustees is the Covernantr of the Federation and approval of
events organised by the sub committees of the Fedetation that both educate and develop the
opportunities in varied events to suit all members.The Board of Trustees endeavour to cover as
many aspects of sport, cookery. arts and aafts science. rural and environmental issues, and
liealth and soaal welfare.
zesponsabilities of the Board of Trustees indudes health and safety issue5 and risk
assessment. Risk as8es8meni has E*en carried out aT)d written poliaes are in pla￿. We currently
employ two members of staff and a written poliry for health and safety resardxng this member
of stsff is in pla￿. Ownership of our present buitding whKch houses our se￿etaria] Offi￿ is an
important responsibility of the PA)ard ofTntstees.
The obj'ectives of the Federation are to fitttk*r of the w0￿￿'S Institute
organisation. The Federation is soverned in accordan￿ with the Constitution & rules (updated
MaTch 20251.
The Trustees coxthrm that they have referred to the (7Larity Commi&wn's guidan￿ on public
benelit when reviewins the Trusys aims and 0￿1Ve4 in planning futuft aclivities, and settiThs
the grant making poliLy for the year.
Achievements and perforn*nce
Organised events by the Board of T￿￿ indude Escape R(KJms at Cardiff and Swansea
organised by the Sport and LeIsL￿e SUP￿com￿lttee and Whist at Murton HalL both events
were very SUC￿55[u1. A Craft SpeLtaLillar was held at Margam Orangery in November. The
Combined Arts Committee held an aftern￿n with music. at the Hi-Tide Porthcawl. The
Rosebowl & Brecon Cup preliminary rounds organised by the Home Economi¢s & Craft sub-
commktteL' with an aftemtym tea was held at the Griyve Golf Club Porthcawl in May and was
very SuC￿Ssful.
The Chepstow Races took place in June, the event went very welt and was enjoyed by all wlK>
ttended. The Annual ClamoTgan Show was held in July at the Aberdvon Beach HoteL Port
Talbot and was enjoyed by all who attended.
Foitr coache5 t￿k our members to The Malvern Flowershow in *tember.
The Federation Quiz was packed out for a great evening. The CombAned Arts Subcommittee
held a delishtful evenins of Wine and Words at The Hi-Tide In*￿r.
Our Public AfEairs SU￿ComMittee organi￿d a Stxy Safe Keep Safe Awarene￿ Event.
Ot]r Annual Gene￿1 Meeting was held in Ortober at the Princess Royal Theatre. Barry Arts and
Events Centre and our s￿akerS at the event were Jason Mohammad and David C￿￿b$ of
Bre¢on Mountain RÉscue.
Given the hard work and enthusiasm of the Board of Trusiee in coniunction with the Sub
Committees. the members of Clamorgan Federdtion have enjoyed a very successful year with
varied programme of events to suit all needs.

The Acc%￿nts show a surplus for the year ended 31 (kr0￿r2015 by virtue of the trarLsfer of the
ets from the unicoporated GFWI into the charitsble organisationin the year. Membership
iLmains stable and members ably SUP￿￿ the Federation in all of the variou$ activities
available.
It xs the policy of the charity to maintain unrestricted hthds at a level which will allow it to
continue for the next six months regardless of any shorttomings in current income. Reserves at
31 October 2024 amounted to Qll.557, which are suffiaent funds in the Federation to abide by
the policy OI the ChaTity Commi￿101￿
