**Trustees’ Report**

The Trustees’ Present their report and financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025.

## **Objectives and Activities**

The object of the Humera Shahid Organisation is to relieve poverty in the UK and Pakistan by providing menstrual products, education on menstruation, and support including training to enable women to become self-sufficient.

During this first reporting period, the charity focused on establishing its foundations and developing resources to support its charitable aims. This included the creation of educational materials addressing menstruation and period poverty, with a particular focus on producing an accessible comic guide to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

## **Public Benefit Statement**

The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The charity’s activities are intended to benefit individuals experiencing poverty and disadvantage, particularly women and girls affected by period poverty and lack of menstrual health education. By developing educational resources, the charity aims to improve knowledge, dignity, and long-term outcomes for beneficiaries, contributing positively to public benefit.

## **Achievements and Performance**

This first reporting period focused on organisational development. Key achievements included development of an educational comic guide, engagement of professional creatives, establishment of an online presence, and trustee-led strategic planning.

## **Plans for the Future**

The charity plans to distribute its educational resources, begin direct programme delivery, develop partnerships in the UK and Pakistan, and expand fundraising activity.

**Financial Review**

## **For the Year End 31 March 2025**

Total income for the period was £7,052. Total expenditure was £7,000, resulting in a closing balance of £52. The charity has no formal reserves policy due to its early stage of operation. To minimise administrative delays during the charity’s early setup phase, some expenditure was paid directly by trustees on behalf of the charity. These payments were made wholly and exclusively for charitable purposes and are reflected in the charity’s financial records. No trustee received remuneration or personal benefit. The trustees consider the charity to be financially stable at this early stage and plan to continue fundraising and seeking grant support to expand charitable activities in the forthcoming year.
