## Church Structure 

GCC is a multi-cultural Christian church community, currently meeting in homes and public spaces. The church community meets for worship on Sunday afternoons. It also has a women’s group that meets on Wednesday mornings and a men’s group that meets occasionally. 

The church has had sponsored workers ministering across Birmingham as an extension of the church. In addition to the local gathering as GCC, they also have gatherings in other areas of Birmingham, including (but not exclusive to) Weoley Castle and online via social media. 

The church is led by a team of people representative of the church community. Decisions are made on a group collaborative basis, as the team are guided by Scripture, prayer, and discussion. 

The Trustees meet quarterly for business and financial accountability. Additional trustees are added through invitation of people who are involved with or familiar with the church. The Trustees recognise the need for additional members to the board. The board agrees potential candidates to approach and invite to join the board. It is a goal to add up to 3 new Trustees in the next 12 months. 

## Activities for 2024 

One sponsored worker, Jennifer Newingham, was granted her indefinite leave to remain on 13 June 2024. This concluded her work visa arrangement (hosted by GCC). She is a very capable leader for GCC. In addition to being part of the LT of GCC, she serves in leadership for Discovering Jesus, the online social media ministry.

In August 2024, GCC commissioned the Hudson family (Bob, Partei and daughters) to work with Partei’s family ministry in Mizoram for up to 1 year. While they were in Mizoram, Bob and Partei launched a business in the form of a café and toddler play area. 

GCC welcomed a sponsored worker in July 2024. After completing training with EQUIP Britain International, this worker and family relocated to serve among a MEB community in Birmingham. 

In August 2024, GCC welcomed a team from the Calvary Christian Church in Winchester, KY for a week’s visit. The team participated in activities and worship with the church. This relationship continues to mature and develop. 

The church has been thankful for the additional service of Gabe Bernal, who has been serving as a team member. He has been overseeing the social media presence, men’s ministry, and assisting with planning and teaching. His service has benefitted the church with several leaders being away on mission throughout portions of the year.
