4. Activities & Achievements
The objectives of the charity are:

To raise the profile of the park to the local community.

To Secure funds to improve the infrastructure of the play park and its surrounding area.

To campaign for improving the existing facilities of the park.
All of the objects of the CIO are based around benefiting the local community park and making it accessible to everyone in the community to enjoy.
We have been working with Cumberland Council who sourced UK- shared prosperity funds to start the renewal of the park in January 2025, the Friends of Jericho organised a consultation with the community on the play equipment and phase one was completed in May 2025.
Friends of Jericho also applied to the FCC community trust and Copeland community foundation for funding to replenish the 2[nd] half of the play area. Funding was applied for in Cumberland Councils name as they are the landowners, and we were notified in September we had been successful. The project has been registered with ENTRUST and work will start in 2026.
