The Charity will raise funds from its Estate and distribute funds to causes principally Educational themed in the Ely area.

Objects: 3. Objects3.1. The Objects Of The CIO (objects) Are: 3.1.1. The Relief Of Financial Hardship, Either Generally Or Individually Of People Who Are Resident Within The Area Of Benefit (and In Exceptional Cases Within The Immediate Surrounding Area At The Absolute Discretion Of The Charity Trustees) By Making Grants Of Money For Providing Or Paying For Items, Services Or Facilities; And3.1.2. The Advancement Of Education (including Social And Physical Training):i. At Community Or Voluntary Aided Or Voluntary Controlled Or Foundation Schools Or Academies Or Post 16 Institutions Within The Area Of Benefit (as The Charity Trustees See Fit) By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities Not Required To Be Provided By The Local Education Authority;ii. Of Persons Under The Age Of 25, For Those Who Are In Need Of Financial Assistance And Who, Or Whose Parents, Are Resident Within The Area Of Benefit Or Are Attending Or At Any Time Have Attended A Community Or Voluntary Aided School In The Area Of Benefit Including By The Provision Of:1. Scholarships, Exhibitions, Bursaries, Maintenance Allowances Or Grants Tenable At Any School, University, College Of Education, Or Other Institution Of Further (including Professional And Technical) Education Approved For The Purpose By The Charity Trustees; And2. Financial Assistance To Assist Such Persons To Pursue Their Education (including The Study Of Music And Other Arts), To Undertake Travel In Furtherance Thereof, Or To Prepare For Or Enter A Profession, Trade Or Service On Leaving School, University, Or Other Educational Establishment; And3.1.3. The Advancement Of The Christian Faith By The Payment To The Incumbent Of The Church Of Holy Trinity With St Mary Ely Of A Sum Not Exceeding 1% Of The Annual Income Of The Cio.the Area Of Benefit Means Ely In The County Of Cambridgeshire.
