The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial statements for Shirt Send for the period 8 February 2024 to 7 February 2025.
The Trustees have prepared this report in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 and applicable accounting regulations.

## **Structure, Governance and Management**
Shirt Send is governed by its Trustees, who are responsible for ensuring that the charity operates effectively, achieves its charitable objectives and complies with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
The Trustees meet regularly to review the charity’s activities, finances, governance arrangements and future plans. Decisions are made collectively, with Trustees bringing a range of skills and experience to support the effective running of the organisation.
## **Objectives and Activities**
The purpose of Shirt Send is to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing access to sports equipment, clothing and facilities, with a particular focus
on supporting individuals and communities who may otherwise face barriers to participation.
The charity achieves its objectives by collecting, reusing and redistributing secondhand and recycled sports clothing and equipment to communities, clubs, schools and individuals who would benefit from improved access to sporting opportunities.
Through its work, Shirt Send aims to increase participation in sport, promote inclusion and equality of opportunity, and support more sustainable practices by extending the life of sports clothing and equipment that may otherwise go unused or be discarded.
## **Achievements and Performance**
During the reporting period, Shirt Send continued to develop its charitable activities and increase awareness of its work.
Key achievements during the year included:
- 35000 shirts/items collected and redistributed.
- Development of partnerships with Sport England, West Ham Foundation, RAF FA, Millfield School.
- Increased awareness of the importance of sustainability and access to sporting opportunities.
The Trustees are pleased with the progress made during the year and recognise the contribution of volunteers, supporters and donors who have helped the charity achieve its objectives.
## **Volunteers**
Volunteers are central to the success of Shirt Send. The Trustees would like to thank all volunteers and supporters who have contributed their time, skills and resources during the reporting period.
Their support has enabled the charity to collect, organise and distribute items effectively while continuing to expand its reach.
## **Financial Review**
During the reporting period, Shirt Send received income through donations and fundraising activities.
No funds were expended during the year, as the charity was in the early stages of development and the Trustees focused on establishing the charity’s operations, building partnerships and preparing for future delivery of its charitable activities.
All funds received remain held by the charity and will be used in future periods to support Shirt Send’s objectives, including the collection, reuse and distribution of sports clothing and equipment to communities and individuals who may otherwise face barriers to participation in sport.
The Trustees continue to monitor the charity’s finances carefully and ensure that all funds are managed responsibly and used solely in furtherance of the charity’s objectives.
## **Reserves Policy**
The Trustees aim to maintain sufficient reserves to allow Shirt Send to continue operating effectively and meet its commitments.
The level of reserves is reviewed regularly, taking into account the charity’s activities, expected expenditure and future plans.

During the next reporting period, the Trustees aim to:
