The Trustees met formally seven times during this financial period. Each time they were joined by the Managing Editor who is not a Trustee but who manages the operations of the charity on a day-to-day basis, develops and edits truth magazine and promotes the work of the charity.
The primary risks to the charity are reputational and financial. Reputational risk, in particular relating to the content of truth and associated social media posts are managed in two ways: firstly, Trustees have a frequent dialogue with the Managing Editor about forthcoming content of the magazine to assess if any topics, for example around anxiety, relationships or addiction would need to be carefully managed; secondly, the Trustees maintain a checklist of items which is consulted during the process of developing an issue of the magazine.
Financial risk is managed by the Trustees only commissioning a new issue of the magazine (the main item of cost to the charity) once sufficient funding is available, by not having any employees or premises at the current time and by conservative financial forecasting.

Section D Achievements and performance
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year |
_truth_magazine continues to offer distinctive, accessible and evangelistic Christian content, grounded in scripture, covering a wide range of issues affecting women and featuring interviews with women about their faith experience. During 2025, the charity published issues 10 and 11 of_truth_and made significant progress on the production of issue 12. The content of the magazine now includes devotional sections based on a Bible passage and leading into prayer. Alongside issue 11, the charity released a film of the main interview, published on YouTube and Instagram, a first for the charity. A major achievement this year has been the transformation in the magazine’s reach, particularly among some of the most marginalised women in society. Where_truth_had no presence in prisons last year, it is now distributed through chaplaincy teams in four women’s prisons across the UK. The magazine is also reaching women through charities in East Sussex, the Midlands and Oxfordshire, supporting those in the sex industry and women experiencing abuse, addiction and homelessness. The charity promoted the magazine again this year at the Focus and Orchard Women events in Newark and Birmingham respectively. An updated stall design was rolled out. These large events were complemented by a smaller gathering led by the Managing Editor and a stall at a women’s event in Leatherhead. Finally, the team of people involved in the production of the magazine has increased. Most of these work part time on a voluntary basis. |

Receipts:
Whilst the level of donations declined in 2025 (£3,672) compared to 2024 (£7,520), this is due to the receipt in 2024 of 2 lump sum start up donations. In contrast, donations in 2025 consisted primarily of regular monthly giving from the charity’s supporters. Magazine sales increased significantly in 2025 (£952) compared to 2024 (£180), reflecting a combination of there being 2 issues published in 2025 (2024: 1) and greater traction with sales.
Payments:
Magazine production costs (printing, design, filming, photography and writing) and associated editorial costs continued to form the majority of the charity’s cost base (2025: 64%). The doubling of the number of magazine issues published in 2025 plus inclusion of filming costs for issue 11 meant that the level of payments in 2025 (£7,666) was significantly higher than in 2024 (£2,436). The charity also continued to invest in having a presence at prominent Christian events in order to build awareness and following of the magazine.
