## **Aim and Purposes** 

The Love Naa Densua Foundation is established to advance education, mentorship, and creative opportunities for young people, particularly in Ghana and the UK. The trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s aims and planning activities for the year. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

The Foundation’s objectives are: 

- To advance the education and training of socially and economically disadvantaged people in vocational hairdressing and business skills. 

- To relieve those in need, by reason of financial hardship, through mentorship, vocational training, provision of specialist equipment, and/or financial assistance. 




- To build confidence, skills, and independence by connecting mentees with real-world experiences. 

In planning activities for the year, the trustees have kept in mind the requirement to act for the public benefit. 

## **Achievements and Performance (2023–2024)** 

Although the year was a quiet one in terms of activity, the Foundation continued to make progress towards its charitable objectives: 

- In **January 2024** , Charlotte Mensah led a **series of workshops in Accra** , teaching mentees safe hairdressing techniques and professional practices. 

- The Foundation partnered with **ObaaSima – Black Girl Fest in Accra** , where mentees contributed to the delivery of the event. 

- Charlotte Mensah, trustee and founder, donated her professional fee from this work to the Foundation, generating an income of **£300** . 

- These activities created pathways for young people to develop practical skills, gain confidence, and connect with professional creative networks. 

The trustees are satisfied that, within the limited resources available, the Foundation has furthered its objectives and continued to deliver public benefit. 

## **Financial Review** 

- **Total receipts (income):** £300 

- **Total payments (expenditure):** £0 

- **Funds carried forward into the next financial year:** £300 

The Foundation holds these funds to support future activities aligned with its charitable objectives. As income remains modest, no formal reserves policy has been adopted. 




## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The Love Naa Densua Foundation is a **Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)** , foundation model, whose only voting members are its trustees. 

The charity is governed by its constitution, adopted on 01/12/2023. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the constitution. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Foundation. 

## **Plans for the Future** 

The trustees plan to: 

- Continue providing mentoring opportunities in Ghana and the UK. 

- Explore new fundraising opportunities to support programmes. 

- Develop creative projects that showcase the talents of mentees and provide them with platforms for growth.
