## **Annual Trustee Report 2024** 

**1. Annual account return** – (See 2023-2024 accounts) 

## **2. Summary of Main achievements:** 

- -Two great fundraising events; The Stagecoach Charity Gala evening in March and the Quiz evening in September. The amount raised has allowed us to cover Insurance and hall hire with enough to keep going through 2025. 

We have managed to create a website that perfectly sums up the main objectives of Believe this has been shared with Foster agencies and Aspire. We have started our first ever class. So far there is 9 students we hope to keep marketing this, so more children are able to benefit through 2025. 

## **3. Wider benefits to Society:** 

   - -We have provided a class that has benefited children from the Care experienced community. After requesting feedback from the parents we have seen that the children feel safe, have enjoyed the classes and are becoming more confident at expressing themselves through the medium of Performing Arts. (An email feedback form was sent to the parents and we have verbally asked the students for feedback that has been shared on the Believe website anonymously). They realise that they are not alone and that there are children in similar circumstances which has reduced a feeling of isolation and promoted a feeling of belonging and self worth. The children were brave enough to perform in a sharing of work at the end of the Winter term. This took a huge amount of confidence, something that they wouldn’t have been able to do after their first two terms. This shows progression and that the class is having a positive impact. 

   - Believe has provided an opportunity for parents, carers and guardians to meet and come together and support each other. 

**4. Emily Maternity** – Becca Shaw will be joining to teach whilst Emily takes some time off. Becca is already an Early Stages teacher for Stagecoach Performing Arts and is currently completing a Masters in Play Therapy, so it is a great fit! 

## **5. Marketing  - Help!** 

Emily did a newspaper article for the Echo and Viewpoint. Spoke about a Meta campaign. Beth is going to set up a little video campaign possibly to be filmed at CHS. Aiming to hit for Spring recruitment. It will be a sponsored Ad but may be worth it if it spreads the word a little more. 

## **6. Website update** 

When you search it we can now see it. 

Si to update website with comments from students, fundraising activities and change the wording from ‘Looked after’ to ‘Care experienced’. 



**7. Update on Spending** Usual spending on hall hire, insurance and website 

## **8. Fund raising update** 

Emily has applied for the West Moors Farm Fest Charity Grant, am waiting to hear back

## **9. Spread the word** 

Update from Lydia on groups shared with. – Local adopting groups, Aspire Emily to email parents asking them to complete a google review or Facebook review 

## **10. AOB :** 

Beth to sign conflict of interest policy, all to sign Safeguarding policy Tshirts – Emily to send out an email asking for interest at £14 a tshirt. Then they will have
