Aims and Purposes:
This Charity provides buildings and space for the furtherance of the Orthodox Christian Faith and space for local community activities. It provides library resources for education in the Orthodox Christian Faith.
Objectives and Activities:
The charity is committed to working with the parish council and the Parish Priest to enable many people and groups to use and to worship in the buildings and space provided and to provide outreach in the form of Videos and other productions as widely as possible.

The fabric of the buildings is maintained by the parish council.

Achievements and Performance:
Worship and Prayer:
Services are offered everyday and specific services as follows:

Major feast days.

Every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday morning and evening.

On all major fasts

Private memorials and commemorations

The church is kept open with supervision on most days from 8am to 4pm and longer when there are evening serves (Wednesday and Saturday).
Over the previous year numbers on Sunday have increased from approximately 70 to approximately 100
There are daily YouTube contributions (except Saturday) (Bible Study, Sermons, Shorts and live streaming of services).
Buildings:
A church, carpark, outbuildings and furnishings have been bought from the Church of England. The Buildings are located at St Matthias Church Centre, Burton Road, Lincoln. LN1 3TX
Maintenance on the roof, carpark and gardens, boiler system and kitchen as well as redecoration of a section of the interior has been carried out.

Community:

Lectures within the Church have been given to the Local University Theology Course (Lincoln Bishop University)

The local Untied Reform Church closed recently, and the remaining members of that church use the Narthex Room for fellowship twice a month.

A clothing and emergency food store is kept for those in need. Donations are distributed several times a week.

A Library of Theological Books is kept in the Centre for use for Orthodox and others interested.

A weekly – sometimes, twice weekly, educational class is held in Church, a higher course meets weekly and several are training using Archdiocesan material for ordained ministry, a priest and two deacons run these courses.

Concerts of international religious music have been held, inviting the local community to enjoy for free very professional concerts.
Mission and Evangelism:

A newsletter is published monthly with a readership of over 250.

The YouTube channel has over 8.000 subscribers and an average of 1000 views per video.

The parish also puts over its message on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
Ecumenical Relationships:

There is a bimonthly ministers’ meeting for all the “Uphill” churches. This meets at the Centre in turn with the other churches.

Ministers and member of other denominations are invited to all our big occasions (ordinations, concerts, important anniversaries etc.)

The Parish Priest if the Patriarchal Representative on the Orthodox -Lutheran International Dialogue.
