To advance the education of the students in Hilton, Derbyshire, and surrounding areas, in the subject of engineering and the skills to work in the engineering industries.

Ages 9-11: students planned and updated the bodywork on their race car. This involved sketching out ideas, discussing them as a team and arriving at a decision together. They then cut the shapes of the design out of vinyl and attached this to the bodywork. They then raced the car at several events demonstrating teamwork, resilience when things didn't go to plan and even helping trouble shoot other teams issues and advising them of solution using their own experience.

Ages 11-16: students worked on various projects to improve their race car including using computer aided design (CAD) skills, prototyping, 3D printing, using hand and power tools in the workshop, electronics and coding. Their team work skills saw a significant improvement through this season alongside problem solving, budgeting and project management. 

Trustees have complied with their duty to have regard to the Charity Commission's public benefit guidance.

Hilton Formula 24 aims to maintain a level of unrestricted reserves **Brief statement of the** sufficient to ensure the continuity of our core outreach and **charity’s policy on reserves** educational activities in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The trustees have agreed to hold a minimum reserve equivalent to three months essential operating costs. This reserve will act as a financial cushion, allowing time to adjust plans or secure alternative funding without disrupting our commitment to delivering high-quality STEM learning experiences for young people. The reserves level will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains appropriate for the charity’s size, scope, and financial risks.
