The Amesbury Men's Shed promotes social inclusion by by preventing people, particularly but not exclusively men, aged 18 or over, within the Amesbury and surrounding areas, from becoming socially excluded, through the provision of facilities in which they can meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, learn and pass on skills and support each other socially.

Objects: To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing Peoplewithin The Amesbury And Surrounding Area, From Becoming Sociallyexcluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excludedand Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society Through The Provision Of Facilitiesin Which They Can Meet To Undertake, Jointly Or Individually, Creative,physical Or Recreational Activities, Learn Or Pass On Skills And Knowledgeand Support Each Other Socially. For The Purpose Of This Clause "sociallyexcluded" Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As Aresult Of One Of More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment: Financialhardship: Bereavement Or Old Age: Ill Health (physical Or Mental).
