## New Flame Charity 

Trustees’ Annual Report for the year ended 01/10/2025 

## Introduction 

The trustees are pleased to present the annual report for New Flame charity for the year ended 1[st] October 2025. This has been a quiet but purposeful year for the charity. While no publicfacing charitable activities were delivered during the reporting period, the trustees have used the year to reflect, prepare, and lay foundations for future development. 

## Objectives and Purpose 

New Flame exists to advance its charitable purposes and to serve the people and communities it has been established to support. During the year, the trustees continued to consider how the charity can best fulfil its aims in a sustainable and effective way, with particular attention given to preparation, planning, and readiness for growth in the coming financial year. 

## Activities During the Year 

There were no operational charitable activities, projects, events, or programmes delivered during the financial year. The trustees recognise that this was a period of preparation rather than delivery. Time was spent considering the charity’s future direction, identifying areas where capacity may need to be strengthened, and preparing the groundwork needed to build and grow in the next financial year. 

## Achievements and Public Benefit 

As no charitable activities were carried out during the year, there were no direct public benefit outcomes to report for this period. However, the trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and remain committed to ensuring that future activities are clearly aligned with the charity’s purposes and deliver meaningful benefit to those served by the charity. 

## Governance and Preparation 

Throughout the year, the trustees focused on preparing the charity for a more active period ahead. This included reviewing priorities, considering practical requirements for future activity, and ensuring that the charity is positioned to operate responsibly as opportunities develop. This preparatory work is intended to support stronger governance, clearer planning, and more effective delivery in the coming year. 



## Financial Review 

There was no significant financial activity during the year. The charity did not undertake any projects or programmes requiring expenditure, and there were no material income-generating activities to report. The trustees will continue to monitor the charity’s financial position carefully and will seek to ensure that any future income is used responsibly in furtherance of the charity’s objectives.

No outgoing payments were made during the year. The closing cash funds therefore represent the full amount of donations received from the six individual donors. 

## Plans for the Coming Financial Year 

Looking ahead, the trustees intend to move from preparation into development and delivery. The coming financial year will be focused on building capacity, clarifying priorities, developing appropriate activities, and seeking opportunities for New Flame to grow in a sustainable and 



purposeful way. The trustees remain committed to ensuring that future work is carefully planned, responsibly governed, and clearly connected to the charity’s charitable purposes. 

## Trustees’ Responsibilities 

The trustees are responsible for preparing this annual report and for ensuring that the charity is administered in accordance with its governing document and applicable charity law. The trustees confirm that they have considered the charity’s purposes, its duty to provide public benefit, and the need to plan responsibly for future activity.
