2. Objectives and Activities
Charity's purposes (aims and objectives)
Mercy Direct was established to provide humanitarian and charitable support, with a focus on
assisting those in need in Yemen. The charity aims to raise funds and deliver support through
transparent and effective charitable activities.
3. Activities and Achievements During the Year
During the reporting period, the charity's activities were limited and primarily focused on
organisational development. The trustees concentrated on establishing the charity's digital
infrastructure by securing the charity's website domain and planning the development of an
innovative website platforn].
The website is intended to allow donors to view the charity's work, understand the needs of
beneficiaries, and make donations quickly and securely. During this financial year, funds
were used solely to secure the charity's website domain. Broader charitable activities and
fundraising initiatives are planned for future periods once the website development is
complete.
4. Public Benefit

The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit.
During the year, public benefit was provided tI￿ough the trustees, work to establish a
sustainable and transparent platforni that will enablc cffective future fundraising and
charitable delivery. Funds received during the period were held and directed towards
preparing the charity to deliver its charitable purposes for the public bcnefit in future
financial years.
5. Governance and Management
Trustees
During the year, the charity had five trustees. One trustee stepped down, and the charity
ended the financial year with four active trustees. The trustees meet as required and are
responsible for the overall governance, strategic direction, and financial oversight of the
charity.
6. Financial Review
Financial performance
During the year ended 31 March 2025:
Total income: £205
Total expenditure: £23.96
Expenditure during the year related solely to the cost of securing the charity's website
domain. No grants were received during the period. The charity had no employees or
volunteers during the financial year.
Reserves policy
The charity holds small reserves to support future charitable activities. Due to the size and
early stage of the charity, the trustees have not adopted a fornial reserves policy at this time.
Reserves are held to support the development of the charity's website and future fundraising
and charitable activities.
7. Plans for Future Periods
In the next financial year, the trustees plan to:
i. Continue the development of a robust and innovative charity website capable of
handling increased traffic and donations

2. Implement a streamlined donation process, including a two-click donation system and
regular progress updates for donors
3. Increase fundraising activity to support the technical dcvelopment and coding
requirements of the website
4. Maintain strong governance, compliance, and financial oversight as the charity grows
8. Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Annual Report and financial
infonnaiion in accordance with applicable law and the Charities SORP (FRS 102). The
trustees confim] that they have taken reasonable steps to ensure that relevant inforn]ation is
provided and that the charity's assets are safeguarded.

l. Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis in accordance with
the Charities SORP (FRS 102), applicable to charities of the size of Mercy Direct.
2. Funds
All income received during the year was unrestricted.
3. Employees and volunteers
The charity had no employees or volunteers during the financial year.
4. Grants
No grants were received during the year.
