END OF YEAR ACCOUNTS 01/02/25-31/01/26 – NOTES

1) The overall operating loss of £1,317.92 for this year needs to be viewed taking into consideration the following expenditure items which are an investment for the future and will not be required again for the foreseeable future: -
-
a. £1,200 on brand development during this year and the previous year.
-
b. £428.11 on exhibition stands and branded display items.
-
c. £238 on a branded Collectin.com electronic donation system.
-
d. £383.30 for a stock of 50 branded tin mugs for resale.
-
2) During this financial year we migrated from accounts held in an excel spreadsheet to a fully comprehensive online accounting system provided by Odoo.
-
3) The data available to Odoo by syncing with our bank account is from October 2024.
-
4) On the Profit & Loss report there is an opening balance shown in the previous year column of £ 7,073.56 which includes all the transaction on the previous year’s accounts prior to October 2024.

5) The £7,073 includes a transfer from Kent County Scout Council of £6,293 from the Kent Scouts ReQuest2021 Antarctica Project. It also includes income for the previous Annual Auction and Quest received prior to October 2024.

6) DECLARATION OF INTERNET EMAIL & HOSTING SERVICES PROVIDED AT COST PRICE of £117.06 by The ICELAB Ltd (Alan Noake is Managing Director as well as Chairman of the ReQuest Foundation.)

Gilwell Reunion (Sep ’25) and the James Caird Society Dinner (Nov ’25).

Ongoing annual fundraising events – Silver Treasure Quest (Feb) & Polar Auction (Mar).

Plan in place for two new fundraising schemes – 250 club & Antarctica Map.
