Achievements and Performance
SORP reference
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | During the reporting period, the charity successfully delivered its programmes primarily in the North East of England and in North London. This delivery was made possible through funding awarded by the Big Lottery Fund and Sport England. A total of 300 young people directly benefited from our work. All participants were under the age of 18 and identified as being from vulnerable or disadvantaged backgrounds. This included individuals with low or no school attendance, those experiencing mental health challenges, young people from low socio-economic households, and those exhibiting or at risk of anti-social behaviour. Through structured physical activity sessions, life skills workshops, and personalised mentoring, the charity helped improve participants' confidence, resilience, and engagement with positive community activities. Many young people reported improved wellbeing, greater motivation, and a renewed sense of belonging. Feedback from schools, families, and local partners further confirmed the impact of our work in supporting re- engagement with education and reducing risk factors associated with exclusion. In addition to individual development, the charity’s programmes contributed to wider societal benefits by promoting inclusion, reducing anti-social behaviour, and helping to build safer, healthier communities. |
