## **AGM Treasurer’s Report 2024 (for AGM on 26[th] Nov 2024)** 

## **Charity number 1205705** 

You will see that this covers the part year from 14[th] November 2023 when the new CIO was registered and ends on 30[th] September 2024. The Charity 

Commission had set the start date but we were allowed to move the end date. This has been chosen so that there is time to audit the accounts before our AGM which we are keeping at this same time of year. 

Working down the balance sheet: 

Donatons: Included from 1[st] June 2024 are self-explanatory. Donations by standing order were once a large part of our annual income but sadly some of those generous members have now passed away. If anyone feels able to commit to an annual or monthly donation however small, please have a word with me afterwards or at some other time. 

Refund:  Our insurance premium has reduced this year as you will see. The part year still covered by the old policy at a higher rate has now been refunded. 

Members: No subscriptions until this evening 

Gif aid: Not claimed in this financial period 

Fund Raising Sales: Not yet applicable 

FIT payment: Not yet applicable 

Fund raising costs: Not yet applicable 

Projects: Not yet applicable

## Friends of St Peter’s 

## Charity 1205705 

## **Chairmans report 2024** 

Welcome to this the first AGM of our new charity. 

The trustees have continued this year to work on the new trust structure, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. 

An extra-ordinary general meeting was held on 27 February 2024 where a resolution previously circulated in the parish magazine was considered and passed. 

This motion has resulted in the closure of the charity number 1061885, to be replaced by a new charity, 1205705. 

The new charity is called the Friends of St Peters Cretingham, shares the same aims as the previous charity and controls the assets of the previous charity. 

This retains many of the current features of a body of members with voting rights and a committee. 

We are most grateful to Gerry Field for guiding us through this process. 

We made a donation to the PCC to contribute towards the costs of decorating the church last year which is detailed in the treasurer’s report. 

We will continue to explore fund raising opportunities in the coming year and are planning a wine and cheese tasting call my bluff event in the Spring.
