We provide a safe haven for rescued animals where they can live the rest of their lives in comfort while receiving the specialised care and attention they need. Animals at the sanctuary are provided with appropriate shelters, nourishment, and medical care to address illnesses, injuries, or other health issues. We achieve our mission by: We collaborate with other rescues and individuals to alleviate suffering caused by neglect, illness, maltreatment, and poor living conditions. Our rescue operations aim to help animals in distress, unsafe environments, or those abandoned or neglected. We respond to reports of animal suffering, removing animals from harmful situations, bringing them to safety, and rehoming them with rescues or individuals who can provide suitable homes. We educate the public to treat animals with kindness and respect by raising awareness about their needs and preventing cruelty and neglect. Through digital platforms and private sanctuary tours, we share educational materials on animal cruelty prevention, proper care, and the benefits of adopting or sponsoring rescue farm animals. These efforts also foster long-term relationships, encouraging ongoing support for our sanctuary. We offer opportunities for the public to interact, connect, and bond with farm animals through volunteering, visits, and fundraising events. We provide public benefit through: Animals in need - The primary beneficiaries of our work are unwanted, abandoned, and neglected animals in distress. Through rescue and rehabilitation, we improve their well-being, offering them a chance for a better life by working with individuals and rescue organisations. Community - Our sanctuary serves as a community hub where people can connect through shared values. Visitors and volunteers interact with animals daily, fostering a sense of community spirit and cohesion while supporting the sanctuary’s mission. Animal lovers and potential sponsors - We provide opportunities for animal lovers to sponsor or adopt farm animals. Sponsorships allow individuals to care for a chosen animal without the responsibility of physical care at home. Volunteers and supporters - Our sanctuary offers a platform for volunteers to contribute to the care of animals, giving them a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Supporters of animal welfare can use their skills and time to further the sanctuary’s mission.

Educational visits - We provide educational visits and volunteering opportunities to teach students about animal welfare and encourage compassion for animals. These activities also offer hands-on experience in sanctuary management. Local organisations - Businesses and corporations that align with our mission can enhance their social responsibility reputation by supporting our efforts through sponsorships, partnerships or donations.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
This year has been a successful one in terms of raising awareness about
the sanctuary and our work. We have built a significant volunteer base to
support the sanctuary’s activities.
We are gradually increasing year-on-year donations to ensure the
sanctuary becomes self-sufficient. Our social media following is also on
the increase.
Caring for the resident animals remains a key priority for the sanctuary,
ensuring that the sheep and goats stay healthy and that their various
health conditions are well managed.
We have been collaborating with other sanctuaries to help rehome goats
in need of a safe place. This year, we successfully rehomed two pygmy
goats that had been abandoned in the woods. They are now safe and
well cared for at another sanctuary that could provide them with a
suitable home.
Visitor numbers to the sanctuary have increased, and those who have
visited have greatly enjoyed meeting the animals, connecting with them,
and sponsoring their care. Visitors also learn about the specific needs of
sheep and goats, as well as how to care for them.

Our volunteers have gained hands-on experience in caring for sheep and goats, including animal handling, general health checks, hoof trimming and grass management. We are grateful to our local community, supporters, and volunteers for making our sanctuary an integral part of the community and for helping us care for animals in need.
