2. Structure, Governance and Management
The charity is governed by its Constitution dated 10 November 2023 and is managed by a board of trustees.
New trustees are appointed by existing members in accordance with the governing document.
Trustees meet regularly to review governance arrangements and ensure alignment with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and good governance.
During this first operational period, the trustees focused on establishing the charity’s structure, developing meeting practices, opening a bank account, and identifying key areas of collaboration with the Ringwood Waldorf School and its community.
3. Objectives and Activities
Charitable Objects:
TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS AT THE RINGWOOD WALDORF SCHOOL. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH PROVISION OF EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, INFRASTRUCTURE, FACILITIES, AND DELIVERY OF PROJECTS AND EVENTS IN ALL AREAS AND SUBJECTS (INCLUDING SPORTS, MUSIC, ARTS, DRAMA, ECOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES AND SCIENCES).
The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when planning and reviewing the charity’s objectives and activities.
4. Achievements and Performance
This was the charity’s first full financial period since registration and was primarily a foundational year.
The trustees’ work focused on:

Establishing banking arrangements and internal governance procedures.

Developing policies and frameworks for future activity.

Exploring how the charity could best complement and collaborate with the school’s existing fundraising and community groups.

Opening channels of communication with the school trustees and leadership team to ensure coordination of purpose.

Beginning to develop the charity’s identity and visibility within the school community, raising awareness of its purpose and the ways it can support the wider life of the school.
While no income or expenditure was recorded during this period, the groundwork completed provides a foundation for future collaboration, communication, and fundraising initiatives that will directly support the educational life of the Ringwood Waldorf School community.
5. Financial Review
During the reporting period, the charity recorded: Income: £0.00 Expenditure: £0.00 Closing Balance: £0.00
The charity had no reserves during the year. As a newly registered CIO with no current or projected operational overheads, it is not expected to maintain reserves at this stage. The trustees confirm that the charity remained solvent throughout the period, held no debts,
and that all governance requirements have been met.
6. Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and the charity’s governing document. The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duties under the Charities Act 2011 and that the information contained in this report is a true and fair summary of the charity’s activities during the year.
