success. There was a very good mix of bands who were thoroughly
enjoyed by those who attended.
The plans for the butlding improvements to the pavilion, Including
new toilets and a disabled access. have been approved. It was
hoped the woth could start in October 2025 but unfortunately the
club was unsuccessful in securing funding. The Sports Club have
now set up a small fundraising group in relation to this project. The
club is intending to engage with the local community over thls
project. It is hoped the money will be raised by September 2026
and the building work can start in October 2026. We do have
£40,000 already ringfenced for this project. It is the committee's
intention to move up to another £30.000 from its reserves into this
fund.. The cost of the project is likely to be between £120,000 and
£130.000 so we ale looking to secure another £60,000 before
September 2026.
