TRUSTEES, ANNUAL R RT Financlal Review Total income for unrestricted funds was £47.758, ofwhich £21322wasfrom unrestricted voluntary incotne. Unrestricted voluntary income remains steady compared with 2023. Donations made up £11269 of thetotalwith the remainder being made up of £2250 Gift Aid and a legacy of £7803. Hire income was £24.935 compared with £20.623 in the previous year. £53.900was spentfrom unrestricted funds to provide a Christian Ministryfrom Holy Cross representing a decrease of 11 %. This was due to Centre boiler replacement in 2023. Church utility costs decreased to £2229147.5% decrease due to inoperable boilers in church). Church Centre utility costs decreased by 19%to £5439, dueto bettertariff s and energymanagement. There was also restricted expenditure of £13333 which is detailed in the Financial Statements. The net result for the year was a decrease in total funds of £19774 (down 18.2%) The totalfund balances at the year end stood at 294158 lunrestricted.. £31401 designated £203 and restricted £623761 Aims and purposes in Interregnum Holy Cross, Parochial Church Council IPCCI has the responsibility to promote the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. The PCC is also responsible ft)r the maintenance of the Church Centre. Objectives and Activities. The PCC have considered the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit and in particular the supplementsry guidance in 'The Advancement of Religion for the Public Benefit, and have regard to it in their administration of the Parish. In parkncular, we try to enable ordinary people to live out theirfaith as part of our parish community through: providing resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care, and spiritual, moral and intellectual development, both for its members and for anyone who wishe5 to benefit from what the Church offers. promoting Christian values, and service by members of the Church in the Parish to its community, to the benefit of individuals and society as a whole.

Achievements and Perfomiance Mission Ststement Holy Cross Church.. A cornerstone in the community, seeking to faithfully love and serve God and our neighbours both near and for. The PCC has temporarily suspended Transforming Church Goals whilst awaiting a new incumbenL however still aiming to maintain and develop an enriching children's and youth ministry., and making the most of occasional offices and seasonal services. Church Attendance and Electoral Roll On 31st December 2024 there were 30 members on the Church Electoral Roll, 14 of whom were not resident within the parish. The average attendance at Sunday Eucharist services during October 2024 was 13, of which an average of 13 received communion and an average of I was under 16. Review of the year The PCC met 4 times during the year, two of which included the Area Dean. There were no Standing Committee meetings in 2024. However, there were 5 Continuity Committee Meetings in which the Ministry Rotas were discussed and reviewed. Pastoral care has been maintained as much as possible during the Interregnum led by Reader Val King. The main items of business included managing the church, the roof is an ongoing issue to be resolved with the involvement of the Diocesan Surveyor. We continue to SUPPOrt the congregation and community. Fundraising events: Quiz Night and the sale of quiz sheets raised £622 for church funds. No other fundraising events were held due to the Interregnum. The PCC is extremely grateful to those who have continued to serve our Parish, especially in a time of interregnum. Optional Infomation Risk Assessme The PCC is aware of its responsibilities with regard to risk management and has carried out an assessment of risks it might be exposed to and that all necessary steps have been taken to minimize the effects of all such risks as may exist. The PCC has a Health and Safety Policy which is reviewed on a regular basis. There is a Protection Policy in place in respect of children and vulnerable adults.

Future Plans The PCC will continue to carry out policies and initiatives to achieve the aims of our Mission Statement with these priorities., Making the most of occasional office5 and seasonal services Creating a spiritually enriching children's and youth ministry Communication in all its forms to create a visible and accessible church. However, the PCC acknowledges that many of these are strained due to Interregnum. Necessary repairs to the fabric of the building will continue to be carried out. An Art Exhibition was held from Westhill Endowment which provided an opportunity to link with groups through education and creative and spiritual reflection. Creating a Transforming Church Action Plan (TCAPI with support from the Diocesan Parish Mission Support Team. This has been paused due to the Interregnum and emerging Oversight area with Immanual and Christchurch. Working towards a Silver Award from A Rocha through the development of Holy Cross as an Eco Church. All electrical lighting in the Centre has been upgraded to led which has already proved to be more efficient and economic. Fairtrade coffee always used and recycled toilet paper and copier paper is used. Compost in outside area is used to fertilize shrubbery and flower patches. Structure. Govemance and Management The Parochial Church Council (assisted by the Area Dean and Arch Deacon) is a corporate body established by the Church of England. The PCC operates under the Parochial Church Powers Measure. The method of appointment of PCC members is set out in the Church Representation Rules. All church attendees are encouraged to register on the Electoral Roll and stand for election to the pcc. The PCC members are responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the parish including how the funds of the PCC are to be spent. The Standing Committee is the only committee required by church law and has the power to transact the business of the PCC between meetings, subject to ratification by the PCC. Its members are, Dave Edwards, Helen Edwards, Valerie King and Stephanie Spencer. It is considered that all those whose involvement in the life of our church includes management responsibilities are deemed to be Fit and Proper Persons under the terms of the Finance Act 2010. Administrative Information The Parish of Holy Cross, Billesley Common is situated in the Kings Norton, Moseley and Shirley Deanery. All members elected for the first tirne and any others who have been re-elected to the P.C.C. after an absence of time are supplied with copies of the minutes of the P.C.C meetings and are given a copy of the last Annual Report and Accounts, and are invited to meet with the PCC, the Churchwardens and the Incumbent in order that they may be thoroughly briefed on the present situation of the Parish. Inservice training is available for all members of the P.C.C as appropriate.
