Mar Thoma Church Canterbury is entering in to the 10th Anniversary and let us thank God
Almighty for the matvellous ways in which God leads our faith journey in this land. As we
inlrospecl, we could see many milestones in the chronicles of our parish. Yes, we need lo
acknowledge that we are a called-oui Community to carry out the mission of God through the
ministry of the church. Let us continue to shine our light before others and be a lighted lamp
in the county of Kent. Let us join our hands logelher to pray for the continuous growth of the

Worshipping Place
The St Andrews Church, St Andrews Road, Maidstone, ME16 9LW, Continues lo be our worshipping
place. This Church is Iccated al the geographi￿ centre of Kent County with ease of access. We chose
this place wth a visiori lo obtain more involvement of families in and around Kent County lo crxne
Ic¥Jelher and enjoy the fdlowship and the ministry d Mar Thoma Church Canterbury_
Our Vicar and family
Rev Jacob PTwas appointed 8$ our Vi¢arw.e.f. 1 stof May 2023. The church was energised and blessed
by his able. enlhu5iastic leadership and concern. Let iJ5 pray lo strengthen Achen in all his service lo
our parish.
Jessy Kochamma is a pillar in the Servi￿ of Achen and is a key member of the chosr. They have Iv
daughters Daya and Diya.

Worship and Oiher Services
The Hoty CommunK)n Servi￿ is cekbrated on the first and third Saturdays at 10.30 am every
month and Divine Service on fourth Sunday at 5.00 pm every monlh.
We also ￿lebrate special seTvices like World Sunday School Day, Sevika Sangham Day,
Education Sunday, Family Sunday, Senior Citrzens Day. Youth Sunday and Holy week
seNices. Hoty Communion SeN1￿ in English is ￿lebrated once in every two nKinths.
Passion Week Services
Lenten meditations were hekl at memberf5 hoffle and online Sin￿ 27 March 2025 led by Rev
Jacob P T. We thank the members who opened their hornes for the meditations.
Parish Day
Our Y. Parish Day was ￿lebrated on 3(W November 2024. *ryth CcThmunion Servte celebrated
by Rev Squ M Thomas and Rev Jacob PT, followed by a Parish Day meeting. The secretary presented
the parish day ￿pOrt. Members conlrTrbuted th&r one4Iay incctsne tothe parish as an offeriny to 5UPPOrt
the mission of the Church.
Students vtho passed their GCSE I￿re feliul*ed on Parish Day.
Pari$h Convention
The patish (x)nvention vras held on 29, November at Singleton Village Hall, Ashford and 30
November 2024 at St Andrews Churth. Maidstone. Rev Solu M Thomas Ivicar, St James Mar
Thoma Church, London) was the main speaker. Edavaka Mission organised the Parish
conventK)n a￿1vItIeS and we thank Mr Jobby K George, who *tved as the convenor. for all
his efforts.
Harvest Festival
The Harvest Fe5twal was celebrated cxj f September 2024, a thanksgrving seNice during Holy
Communion Service and auctioning the hcme-grown fruits, vegetatAe5. plants, and hcrnemade snacks
aftef the seNice. We thank all the fwnilies tho prepared f(Y sale and all vtholeheartedly
parti¢ipaled in the auction. We thank Mr Jobby K Georgo. who served as the convenor of the HaNest
Festival, for al his efforts.

VBS 2024
Our parish VBS was held on 2Th
28" and 2W May 2(Y24 al Leyboume village hall and Y￿re led by the
Directors Mr Cibi Malhew and Mrs Sunu Cibi. This year's VBS had 62 child￿n. 15 teachers and 15
volunteers. The theme of the year Wds °Go Pro". Under the guidance of Rev Jacob PT. with support
from all the teachers and member5 ofthe parish, were ableto enrich theVBS and enable our children
lo have spirrtual nourishmenl. We thank Mrs Annamma Chacko and Mr Rony Eapen Malhew, who
served a5 convenors. for all their efforts.
Christmas Carol Service
The Chrislrnas Carol Setvice was held on 14th December 2024. The theme for Carol service
was Bethlehem. The Choir led the Carol Service wrth splendid carols. Rev Jacob PT delivered
the Christmas rrEssage. The Sunday School children perfomied a song and a skit, Sevika
Sangam sang a song, Prayer Group A performed a Nativity and Prayer Group B perft)rmed a
skit. Let us thank God for the lalenls bestowed on the members of our parish and the
memorable Carol SeNice of 2024.
Christmas Ser4ice
Christmas Service was held on 24 December 2024 at St Andrews Churth, Maidstone.
Watch Night Service
The yearending watch night Servi￿ and Holy Communion servi￿ was held on 31" December
2024, ￿lebrated ty Rev Jacob P T. The congregation had the opportuntty lo refiecl on the
abundant blessings they received from the Almighty Lord over the years, shared their
testimonies and adopted new year Te501ulions. The session was led by Mr Jobby K George.
The candlelight ceremony was hekl lo welcome the new year.
Monthly Prayer Meetings
Prayer Group A
The Prayer Group A covers the areas of maid￿One, Gillingham, Tunbridge Wells, Hastings,
Easlboume, Caterham, Redhill, Gravesend. London and 8asildon and hokls a monthly prayer
meeting on the first Friday of every month in the house of a famity member. Mr P K Oommen
Se￿ed as the Prayer Group Secietary.
Prayer Group B
The Prayer GrDUP B covers the areas of Ashford. Canterbury, Margate and Folke5tone and
holds their rnonthly prayer on the third Friday of every month in the house of a family member.
Mrs Lisha Baby served as the prayer group B secretary.
Organisations Activities
Sunday School
During this educational year 2024, we had a total 0176 children from nursery to year 10 and
15 dedicated teachers in our Sunday school. We thank Rev Jacob P T for his wntinuing
leadership and guidance to our Sunday school. Mrs Mariamma Chacko is serving as the head
teacher and London Centre coordinator. Mrs Nisha Oommen served as Ihe secretary and Mrs
Rincy Jose seNed as treasurer.
Special Dedication Prayers Education Sunday
Education Sunday was observed on 7, September 2024. A special dedication Servi￿ was
held during the Holy Communion Service.
Sevika Sangam
Sevika Sangam conlinues to empower the women in our church. Members attended the
Sevika Sangam Zonal Conference and participated in the Bible Quiz Competition. Mrs
Annamma Chacko served as the South Zonal secrelary during this year_ Mis Abeny Susan
Abtaharn served as secretary and Mrs Raji Thomas served as treasurer.

Edavaka Mission
Canterbury Mar Thoma Edavaka misS￿n remained steadfast in its commitmenl to fostering
strong famity bonds and deepening spiritual connections under the gUKlan￿ of Rev Jacob
PT through regular Inter￿$Sory prayer on every 2 Saturdays. These gatherings provided
plattomi of collective inlrospection, repentan￿, and spiritual renewal. Edavaka mission is
dedicated to expanding its outreaching efforts. reaching more families, and addressing
evolving needs, with focus on building a communty where failh floull5hes, farnily Ihrive, and
love abounds. Mr Jobby K George served as the Secretary and Mr Sanju Varghese served
as treasurer.
Youth Fellowship
The youth fellowship had a year filled with enriching activrties. The youth fellowship engaged
in valuable sessions online and in church under the leadership of Rev Jacob PT. Mr Joel
Kumvilla John sevved as the ￿Cretary and Mr Jaden VaffJhese Jacob served as the treasufer.
PaTi5h Choir
Parish choir is registered with DSMC. The Choir leads us in sw)ging for our Worship servI￿s
and other special setvices under Ihe guidance and leadership of Rev Jacob P T. Choir held
an audrtion on 191h Octot*r 2024 to take new members in lo the choir and currently has 30
members. The Parish Choir has instrumental in ￿adIng the service in solemn. Mr
Mathew Varghese served as choir leader, Mr Siju Thomas served as the secretary, and Mr
John Sibin Thottathil served as the treasLbrer.
Charity & Welfare Fund
Welfare Fund is used to support the needy among the membeTS and others. The funds are distributed
lo deserving applicants as decided by the CL¥nmrttee of the Church. During the year. we contributed
£1000 tovrards Wayanad Relief Fund, £451.18 trAvards Sankeshwar Mar Thoma Mi55ion and £410
lo•Yards Demelza charlty which was a joint venture by Sunday SchcK>l and Youth Fellowship.
Housewarniing
The house5 of MT and Mrs Bijulal Thomas, Mr and Mrs Sanju Varghese. Mr and Mrs Bipin
Raian, Mr and Mrs Alexander Baby, Mr and Mrs Tittu Thomas Jacob and Mr and Mrs Jobby K
George were blessed during thi5 year.
Episcopal Visit and Fifst Holy Communicants
We were honoured by the auspicious first Vi51t of our Di0￿san Ep1s￿pa Rt. Rev. PD Dr.
Joseph Mar tvanios Episo)pa on 23 June 2024. 11 children r￿1Ved their first holy
communM)n.

We were fortunate to have the presence. and inspiring messages of Rev Sanoj Babu Mathew,

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones

UK & Europe Zone Activities
UK & Europe Zone held the following activities- Edavaka Mission Inlercessory Prayer, Lent
& Passion Liturgical Hymns Learning Program, Ecumenical meeting, You Mal Sludent
Ministry, VBS training, World Sunday School Day, Sunday School Teacher's Retreat. South
Zone Sevik8 Sangam program, Sevika Sangam Conference, Youth Online Worship
Sessions, Youth Conference and Christmas Carol Service.
Diocese Inauguration
Diocese Inauguralion was held on 29th September 2024 at Bethel Convenlion Centre,
Birmingham and we as a parish, participated in this meeting actively.11 was an historical event
with the presence of 5 of our bishops including the Metropolitan and Saffragan Metropolitans
along with bishops from sister churches and distinguished guests.

Please include the Bank Interest as a separate line r(em in Note 2 to improve clarity and
transparency. Kindly combine the Cake Sale amount wrth the Sunday School funds under

2. Fellowship Meal Expenditure-.
The fellowship meal spending is noted to be over the In(xJme. Please review the overage
and consider appropriale disclosure or future budget adjustment5.
3. Transfers Between Funds..
Refer to the interim audit report conducted al 9 months for the reconciliation of amounts
listed under"Transfefs Be￿een Funds". This will help ensuie accuracy and traceability of
fund movements.

The audil for the year 2024125 has been completed salisfaclorily. All transactions reviewed
were found lo match the ledger account5. and no malerial discrepancies were idenlffjied_ The
trustees have maintained cleai records and supporting documentation throughout the
