or for the publlc at large in the interests of soclal welfare and with of improving the Condltion of Ilfe of said
Inhabitants.
The promotlon of communlty Partlclpatlon in healthy ￿reatIon for the benefrt of the inhabitants Rye and
the surrounding area by the provision of fadlitles forsv4lmmln8 and forthe playlngof other sports, reC￿atIon
and lelsure actlvltles.
To further or benefit the resldents of Rye and the surround5n8 area and nelghbourhoods. wlthout distinction
of se& sexual orientatlon, race or of polltlcal. rellglous or other opinions by assodatlng together the sald
residents and the local authorities. voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance
education and to provlde fac115tles in the Interestsof soclal weffare for recreatlon and lelsure tlme occupatlon
wlth the oblertlve of Improvlng the condltlons of Itfe for the resldents.
In furtherance of these objects, the ao has worked to secure the contlnLted operatlon of the lelsure centre
In Rye. Thls would be done by takingoverthe lease of Rye leISu￿ centre owned by East Sussex County Councll
and operated by a contracted third party- The leisure centre Includes a swlmmln8 pool, a gym and a 5POrt5'
hall. The actlvitle5 of the financlal year therefo￿ focused on 11 From June 2025, ralsln8 funds to secure
enough working capital for 3 years of operatlon 21 Ne8Otiatin8 è leèse with local Bovemment orB8nisations
31 Preparin8 for a start date and 41 Securlng fundin8 for necessary repalrs and updates.
The CIO Is very grateful to the funders and the many people of Rye and the surroundin8 area for thelr
generous donations that prowded the necessary capltal allowlng the openlng of a community operated
leisure centre on 1st April 2025.
