## **2. What the Charity Does** 

Education For All Charity exists to **advance education** by providing **free maths and English  support** to children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the local community. 

The charity supports pupils aged 9–14 who struggle with mathematics and English and may not have access to private tutoring. Trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on **public benefit** and believe that the charity’s activities clearly benefit the public by improving educational understanding, confidence, and opportunities for children. 

## **3. Activities During the Year** 

During the year, the charity provided: 

- Weekly after-school maths and English support sessions 

- Small-group tutoring led by volunteer tutors 

- Free learning worksheets and revision materials 

All activities were delivered by volunteers, with sessions running during term time only. 



## **4. What We Achieved** 

During the year: 

- 24 children attended maths and English support sessions 

- Over 300 hours of volunteer tutoring were provided 

- Teachers and parents reported improved confidence and engagement with English and maths 

Feedback from parents indicated that children felt more comfortable asking questions and showed greater motivation in school maths and English lessons. 

## **5. Money and Finances (Summary)** 

During the year, the charity received income of **£1,440** , mainly from: 

- Individual donations 

- Members’ monthly contributions 

Expenditure totalled **£1,400** , mainly on: 

- Room hire for tutoring sessions 

- Printing of learning materials 

- Basic safeguarding and insurance costs 

The charity ended the year with a small surplus, which will be carried forward to support activities in the next financial year. All funds were used to support the charity’s educational aims. 

## **6. Risks and Safeguarding** 

The main risks faced by the charity are reliance on volunteers and uncertainty of future funding. Trustees manage these risks by: 

- Recruiting additional volunteer tutors 

- Keeping costs low 

- Applying for small grants 

Safeguarding procedures are in place. All volunteers are given safeguarding guidance, and sessions are supervised in appropriate community venues. 



## **7. Plans for the Next Year** 

In the coming year, the charity plans to: 

- Continue weekly maths and English support sessions 

- Increase the number of children supported if volunteers are available 

- Develop additional learning materials focused on exam preparation 

Trustees will also seek further funding to ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability.
