ANNUAL REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE PERIOD 2 NOVEMBER 2023 TO 30 JUNE 2024
Rotary Club of Titsey and District Charitable Incorporated Organisation ("CIO") was registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales on 2 November 2023. The Trustees were the President, the Secretary the Treasurer and the President-elect for the time being. For the period under review the Trustees were:
Stephen Putman (2 November 2023 - 30 June 2024) Stephen Marsden (2 November 2023 - 30 June 2024) Christopher Colebank (2 November 2023 - 30 June 2024) Ian Conway (2 November 2023 - 30 June 2024)
The main object of the CIO is "….. the relief of the poor and needy in Oxted or any other part of the United Kingdom or elsewhere in the world, or such other charitable purposes as the Rotary Club of Titsey & District ("the club") shall in duly constituted meeting direct.”
During the period 2 November 2023 to 30 June 2024 the club undertook fund raising events and collections for the CIO which after expenses raised £7,818 as shown on page 12. These funds were raised late in the period under review and the only donations made were £170 to Holland Sports and £150 to Limpsfield Chart Fair.
In addition to the funds raised for the CIO, in the year to 30 June 2024, the club raised £20,160 after expenses for the Rotary Club of Titsey & District Trust ("the Trust") and made donations to local, national and international concerns totalling £22,804. Thus the combined results of the club in the Trust and the CIO was funds raised after expenditure of £27,978 and donations of £23,124 in the year to 30 June 2024.

The Trustees' policy on reserves is that funds raised are distributed as soon as possible to beneficiaries. Reserves are held to enable Trustees to make charitable donations at short notice.
The Trustees have reviewed the major risks to which the charity is exposed and have established systems to mitigate such risks.
The CIO holds no restricted funds and has received no endowment funds.
The CIO has no debt and has provided no guarantees.
No remuneration or benefits have been paid to any trustee.
The club resolved at a meeting held on 17 July 2024 to close the Trust and instructed the Trust to transfer its remaining funds totalling £5,461 to the CIO which has the same objectives as the Trust.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF TITSEY & DISTRICT CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION (CHARITY NUMBER 1205558)
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Rotary Club of Titsey & District Charitable Incorporated Organisation for the period 2 November 2023 to 30 June 2024 which are set out in pages 11 and 12.
Responsibilities and basis of my report
As the charity trustees of the CIO you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ( "the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the CIO's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
- accounting records were not kept in respect of the CIO as required by section 130 of the Act;
or
- the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
