ObjectTves and activities Objectives and aims The advancement of education for the public benefit, particularly but nol exclusively for those who are unemployed, through the provision of scholarships, grants, or other forms of financial assistance lo help individuals pay for their educalion. We provide mentorship and coaching seNices to individuals who are seeking to develop their workplace skills,. and workshops and seminars designed lo improve individual's technical skills and soft skills such as leadership and teamwork. Significant activities Activilies and Impact in 2024 In 2024. the charily delivered impacfful community and internalional outreach, including homeless support events in January and April, Easter aid for families, back-to-school assistance for single mothers, and the "Mum Matters" wellbeing initiative. Additionally, a medical outreach in Nigeria provided vital healthcare to over 300 underserved individuals, extending our mission of care beyond local borders. GOSHEN WELL Trustees, Report for the Period 2 November 2023 to 31 August 2024 Achievement and perforniance Charitable aclivities Activilies and Impacl in 2024 We began the year with dedicated outreach events supporting the homeless population in our local community. In both January and April, volunteers distributed hot meals, hygiene kits, warm clothing, and offered signposting to relevant local servIs. In April, we organised a special Easter outreach for low-income families and children. Activities included a community meal, Easter-themed games, and the distribution of food hampers. Ahead of the new school year, our "Back to School. campaign focused on empowering single mothers with school supplies and support for their children. The initiative was tailored to relieve financial stress during a critical time. Our inlernational focus this year included a medical oulreach in Nigeria, addressing health inequities in underserved communilies. In August, we hosted our "Mum Matters" event, aimed al supporting the emotional and mental wellbeing of mothers. This included wellness workshops, peer support sessions. and professional counselling access. Financial review Financial position In the year under review, net results and carry forward funds were1£2251. Reserves policy The charity will build unrestricted funds reserves as it grows and establishes it's flagship events. Going concern At the time of approving the accounts, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, the trustees continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the accounts. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Slandard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019),, Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. Income All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be reiVed and the amount can be measured reliably. Expenditure Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing ihe charity to thal expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in seltlemenl and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
