Trustee’s report for year ending 30 September 2024
Our CIO was registered on 30 October 2023. It had eight Trustees, who were also the Management Committee of West Jesmond Allotments Association (WJAA). WJAA was set up in 1917 and has run an allotment site on the Town Moor of Newcastle upon Tyne since then.
The Trustees decided not to set in operation the CIO immediately, pending the signing of a new lease for our site and various administrative needs (eg a new bank account).
The CIO account was activated in September 2024 to receive rents for our new year commencing 1st October 2024. A total of £2441 was received into the CIO bank account in September 2024 and was treated in the accounts as a Sundry Creditor for "rents received in advance". There were no other transactions in the CIO account for the year ending 30th September 2024, other than these rents received in advance.
Apart from this, the CIO was dormant during year ending 30 September 2024. So there is no activity and no further financial transactions to report in the year.
