The Trustees present their report with the financial statements of the Charity for the year ended 4[th] November 2024. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

## **Objectives and Aims** 

For the public benefit, to promote and protect the physical and mental health of children/young people with eating disorders and their families, with a focus on anorexia, primarily but not exclusively in Ryedale, Whitby and the Scarborough area through: 

- a. Through peer to peer, therapy sessions and support; 

- b. Providing educational resources and workshops; 

- c. Signposting to other appropriate resources and services when appropriate; 

- d. Raising awareness of early stage eating disorders and its impact. 

- e. In such other ways as the trustees may determine.’ 

## **Significant Activities** 

During the year the Charity organised a Ball, a music festival as well as various other fundraising events. The charity runs monthly support group sessions and a 24hr dedicated phone line for the families of young people suffering with eating disorders. These activities are carried out for the Ryedale, Whitby and Scarborough areas. 

## **Public Benefit** 

The trustees have had due regard for the guidance published by the Charity Commission on public benefits. 

## **Financial Review** 

## **Reserves Policy** 

The Charity aims to maintain cash reserves of around £3,000 to cover operational costs and continued support to families. 



## **Going Concern** 

The Trustees have prepared the accounts on a going concern basis on the grounds that the Charity has sufficient bank balances and a reasonable expectation that these will be adequate for the Charity to continue to operate. 

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

## **Governing Document** 

The Charity is controlled by its governing document ‘The Constitution’ and is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Foundation Structure). 

## **Recruitment and appointment of new trustees** 

All Trustees are subject to formal re-election once their initial appointment term has expired. New Trustees are elected in line with the governing document ‘The Constitution’.
