## **2. Objectives and Activities** 

- **Charitable Objects:** To advance education of refugees, particularly Syrian children in Lebanon, Turkey, and Jordan, through digital literacy and computing training. 

- **Public Benefit:** Trustees confirm they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. 

## **3. Achievements and Performance** 

During this first partial financial year (October 2023–August 2024), the charity focused on: 



- Completing registration with the Charity Commission. 

- Formalising governance policies (including safeguarding, financial controls, and complaints). 

- Maintaining relationships with overseas partners in Lebanon in preparation for delivery of digital literacy training. 

- Planning activities for future delivery in Lebanon. 

- Engaging three UK volunteers for governance, planning, and policy development. 

_Note:_ No charitable activities were delivered on the ground in this financial period, and no funds were transferred overseas, but groundwork was laid for future implementation.

- No reserves held. 

- No debts or liabilities. 

- No grants or donations received. 

- No trustee remuneration or expenses paid. 

- **Reserves policy:** Not applicable this period (no funds held). 

- The trustees consider the charity to have been financially dormant during this reporting period while establishing governance and planning. 

## **5. Structure, Governance, and Management** 



- The charity is a CIO registered with the Charity Commission (No. 1205442). 

- Trustees met informally during the period to review governance policies and plan future projects. 

- Formal policies adopted in 2024 include safeguarding, complaints, financial controls, trustee expenses, investing charity funds, and serious incident reporting. 

- External risk in Lebanon was monitored 

- The charity engaged one self-employed worker on a zero-cost basis this period. 

## **6. Future Plans** 

- To begin active fundraising. 

- To secure grant funding or donations to enable programme delivery. 

- To deliver first digital literacy training sessions in Lebanon with local partner NGOs.
