STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE & MANAGEIIIEiYr Governing Do¢umellt The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisatioo governed by a Constitution. and is registered with the Charity Commission under charity number 1205417. Organisational Structure The trustees ar¢ responsible for the general control and managetnent of th¢ charity. The trustees give their time freely and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits to fulfil this role. The charity trustee8 tneet on a regular basis and are responsible for all decisions taken in relation to the over&ll ¢otttrol and strategic management of the charity. Recruitmellt, Appointment and Training of Trustees The existing tntslees are responsible for the appointment of new trusl¢¢s. New trustees are brought into the organis&tion, when requir¢d. on the basis of eligibility, competen¢¢. specialist knowledge and skills. It is the policy of Al Falah Academy that, upon induction, each truste¢ is given a copy of the trust dee the latest a¢¢ounts, recent meeting minutes and guidance regarding Ihe policies and procedures adopted by the charity. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The objectives of Al Falah Acadetny primarily focus on fulfillin8 th¢ financial, spiritual and religious needs of the Muslim community together with serving the comJnunity at large. The communities cuentlY setved are Greater London with South Ockendon in particular. The Charity's detailed objectives are listed on Ch&rity CoTnmission's website. Public Benefit In carrying out this review the trustees of Al Falah Academy have taken regard of and comply with the Charity Commission's g¢nei'al guidance on public benefit and in particular its supplementary public guidance on the advancem¢nl of religion for the public benefit. Main activities during the period During 2023-24, the Charity delivered a diverse range of programmes and community inttiatives aimed at fostering spiritual groth, wellbeing, and social responsibility among people of all ages. We provided religious edLicalion to both children and adults. helping participants deepen their understanding of faith while also learning important values. manners, and everyday etiquette roofrd in respect and compassion. We facilitated organisation of Friday Prayers in South Ockendon. The trustees are in process of revisiting the strategic direction of charity for its futur¢ tIvities. FINANCIAL REVIEW For the period. the ttwstees have prepared Receipts and Payments accounts and a Statement of Ass¢ts and Li&bilities, as permitted under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011. The charity's source of income during th¢ period was an unrestricted income of £16.077 and restricted income of £185 and th¢ reserves at period end were £15,322 (unrestricted £15,322. restricted £0). The financial statements for each financial period must give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources.
