Structure, Governance and Management
Living Potential Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). The charity hires the services of 1 part-time bookkeeper and is supported by 5 volunteers.
Trustee appointment method: There must be a minimum of three trustees. Trustees are appointed by resolution of the trustees and can serve for a threeyear term. They may apply for re-election after three years but after the second term they must wait 12 months before applying for a third term of of7ice.
Reserves policy: The charity’s policy is to hold at least £15,000 in reserves to cover three months of core operating costs and grant commitments.
Organisational structure: The trustees are responsible for the overall management of the charity and are assisted by a number of volunteers who raise donations and promote courses that are in accordance with the charity’s objectives.
Objectives and Activities
The objectives of the charity are:
(1) to advance the education of the general public, by providing and assisting in the provision of courses, workshops, lectures, events, and other learning opportunities including residential courses and retreats on topics that will help advance them in life and develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals; and

(2) to preserve and protect physical and mental health, particularly, but not exclusively of women and young people by providing activities and holistic programmes.
Main activities during the year:
As a new charity the trustees have had to focus on setting up the legal and administration requirements for the charity, including establishing a better bookkeeping system.
The charity succeeded in obtaining several generous grants for LPF’s building project’s capital fund, known as the LPF Build fund (see note 4), and others that have enabled LPF to offer on-going residential programmes for women’s health, wellbeing and self-development.
In accordance with our charitable purposes for the public bene*it, residential, day and on-line courses have been held in UK and Ireland. Topics included a range of health issues, art and life, relationships and emotions, our relationship with creation – a modern and ancient perspective, free will and determinism, yoga and meditation for health and wellbeing, etc. We have had very good feedback from these courses and currently have over 370 people registered on our mailing list. Although the courses were promoted and provided by personnel acting on behalf of LPF, the +inances were operated by other charities with similar objects to LPF.

Achievements and Performance
Key statistics: £165,486 was raised in donations and interest.
Case study: The LPF Build restricted fund for the building project contained £35,124 at the year-end.
Challenges faced: The main challenges are to 4ind a suitable site for a residential facility, to raise funds for its construction and to plan and promote new courses.

Plans for the Future
The main goals for the future are to raise funds to build a residential facility and to run many more courses, as outlined in the section on activities above.

Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Living Potential Foundation
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Living Potential Foundation for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I con3irm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Notes to the accounts
1. Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis, in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and Charities SORP (FRS 102) as applicable to smaller charities.
2. Trustees’ remuneration and expenses
No trustee received any remuneration or reimbursement of expenses during the year.
3. Related party transactions
There were no related party transactions during the year.
4. Restricted funds
Restricted funds are given to the charity for a speci4ic purpose and must be spent on that purpose.

The LPF Build fund is a restricted fund to raise money to build a residential facility for courses offered by the Charity. The building must be built according to the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
Only the interest earned by the Endowment fund may be used for charitable expenditure.
