1. Objectives and Activities
Charitable Object (as registered):
The objects of the CIO are the relief of deaf and hard of hearing persons by promoting and facilitating participation in sport, specifically futsal and futsal-related activities, including preparation for national and international competitions.
Main Activities in the Year:
During the year, EDIF carried out the following activities in line with its charitable purposes:

Delivered futsal training sessions for the England Deaf Men’s and U21 teams

Supported access to sport through BSL-interpreted coaching

Organised and supported England’s participation in the 2025 Deaf Futsal World Championship in Italy

Laid groundwork for developing young players for international competition in -- 2026Engaged a fundraiser one day per week to develop a fundraising strategy and build our capacity to raise funds effectively
2. Achievements and Performance

The EDIF Men’s Team represented England at the 5th World Deaf Futsal Championship in Montesilvano, Italy, in June 2025

Although the team finished 16th of 18, this marked significant progress and international experience

Regular training and talent development sessions were delivered for both men’s and U21 players
3. Public Benefit
The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
All activities during the year furthered the charitable purpose of promoting access to futsal for deaf and hard of hearing athletes.

The charity’s income and expenditure related primarily to futsal training, interpreter support, and international competition participation.
5. Structure, Governance and Management
England Deaf Futsal is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by its constitution. The organisation is run by a board of trustees who oversee operations and compliance.
