1. Trustees’ Annual Report
1.1 Objectives and Activities
The May Parsons Foundation is established for the public benefit to promote the education — including academic, professional, social, and physical training — of nurses and nursing students, both current and prospective, in the United Kingdom and the Philippines. The charity fulfils this purpose in such ways as the trustees consider appropriate, including but not limited to:

providing scholarships, bursaries, grants, and financial assistance to support access to nursing education and professional development

delivering or funding training programmes, workshops, mentorship, and leadership development initiatives that strengthen clinical competence and professional growth ‑

supporting international collaboration, exchange, and knowledge sharing between UK and Filipino nurses, educators, and healthcare institutions

promoting public awareness of the value and contribution of nurses and encouraging individuals to pursue careers in nursing
-
advancing research, innovation, and best practice in nursing and healthcare education and disseminating learning for public benefit

partnering with educational institutions, healthcare organisations, and community groups to widen participation and improve opportunities for nurses and nursing students
During this financial year, the charity did not carry out operational activities. The trustees focused on maintaining governance readiness and ensuring compliance with CIO reporting requirements.
1.2 Achievements and Performance
The charity had no operational activity during the year.

Governing Document
The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO – Foundation model), governed by its constitution dated 18 October 2023.
