## **Governance & Trustees** 

Cliffe Community Church became a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) on 18 October 2023 and is managed by its Managing Trustees. 

The registered Office is Cliffe Community Church, Turner Street, Cliffe, Rochester, Kent ME3 7QL. 

The Cliffe Community Church is affiliated as a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC). 

The Holding Trustees are The Fellowship Property Trust, 41 The Point, Market Harborough, LE16 7QU. 

The Principal Officers are: Pastor: Mr Jim Ebbs Secretary: Mr Edward Glover 

## **Legal Status** 

The Cliffe Community Church is a CIO  (Charity Number 1205281). 

## **Charitable Objects** 

The purpose of the Church shall be: 

- (1) The advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith primarily but not exclusively within Cliffe and the surrounding neighbourhood, and 

- (2) Such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the Managing Trustees, further the work of the Church.

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Members of Cliffe Community Church** 

This Report on the accounts of the Church for the year ended 31 December 2024, which are set out in this annual report, is in respect of an examination carried out under s.145 of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). 

## **Respective responsibilities of the Trustees and the examiner** 

As Trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts; you consider that the audit requirement of section 144(2) of the Act does not apply. It is my responsibility to issue this report on those accounts in accordance with the Act. 

## **Basis of this report** 

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 144(5)(b) of the Act. That examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts with those records. It also includes considering any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. 

## **Independent Examiner's statement** 

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: 

(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements 

- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act; and 

- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the requirements of the Act have not been met; or 

(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
