The Association organises the annual Constantinople lecture, issues the journal Koinonia, hosts an annual reception for Orthodox clergy at Westminster Abbey, runs an annual pilgrimage to an Orthodox country and makes grants to support activities that promote the aims of the Association.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is The Advancement Of The Christian Religion In Particular By (A) Teaching The Members Of The Anglican Churches And Those Of The Eastern Orthodox Churches And The Church Of The East And Oriental Orthodox Churches, The Doctrines And Respective Principles And Methods Of Each Other In Their Work For Advancement Of The Christian Religion. (B) Uniting Members Of These Churches In Prayer And Work In Achieving The Object With A View To Promotion Of Visible Unity Between Them.
