Volunteers
The charity has a team of 73 volunteers 8eross the CoLTrnly of Glouceslershire, that assist in Ihe operations of the
Charity. The role ol the volunl?6rs ￿nSIStS of providing holistic therapies. exerclse classes, sperAfic groups such as
Breast and Menopause, 1..1 listening support, Ih8rapeutic art sesslons, centre support of welcomlng Members.

Achievements and performance
The tDlal donations received were £151,420 an increas& of £42,681 on last year, wllh the remaining Income belng
g8neraled from cale income £3,e77 and grants of£19,284. The 8XP8nditure lolalled £230,943. March 2025 saw us
C818brat8 11 years of prowdlng support to anyone 8ffeci8d by Cancer. We reflected remembering whèrè wa started
th a small monthw support group ￿1h 4 volunleors, lo moving into pem)anenl premises in 2016 wlth 10 volun188ra
and organically growing ovèr tha wmalnlng years lo now the busy centre supporting around 10Q)+ people a week,
with the support ol now 73 volunteers.
Childrgn and Young People
Over the past 12 months we have been ablè to suppc)rt an increasing number for children and young people from 5
to 25 years old affeEled by cancer. The support has ranged from accessing our F2miFy and Youth Sessions to 121
within the community, schools, colleges and universities. Through discussing the tr6alrH8nl that their loved one is
receiving, advocating their needs and support, building the gaps In communication, pmvtding practic21 coping skills,
signpostinu and Ilgt8ning and ensuring that they can continue to thrive during an extremely difficult time for them.
Thls support has conlribuled to young people remeinlng in educalion, reducing ri8k taking behaviours, improwng
comrnunily relationships and maintaining relationships, Support Is being conducted cu¥rently withln 36 dlfleronl
educalioTial eslablishments within Gloueestershire, we have young people attending the Famlly and Youth
Sessions that acce55 adueational placements outside of the county that wish to access support al Charlles.
In additlon. we havo provided support and guidance to olhèr prof8ssioftals lor b8st practice regarding young people
and 8n hollstic lamity approach lo accessing support lor the patient and Ihos8 aroLsnd them.

Young P80ple Support
ThroLsgh our youth groups we can support children affeded by cancer from age 5-25. The whole famSly can
access our page-by-page family sessions which facllitale Ihe whole famlly comlng together. For Ihos¢
children with a greater need 1..1 support is provKlèd in schools working Blosely with the pastoral support lo
ensure children are supported.
Communlty Outr•ach and InclLtsfvity Initlatlves
Efforts were rlladg lo rgach underserved and diverse communities, ensuring that services remained
accessible and inclusive. Our satellite groups enable us to reach anytsne aff6Cted by cancer in th@ir
community, with 2 groups in Chellenham, 1 In Cirencgster gnd Clnderford, and an addllional support now i
Newenl ensuring that travelling 55 not o barrier to Te¢eiving support. Further expansion over the coming
year is planned into Tewkesbury, Stroud Bourton On The Water.

commltt8d to gnsuring accesslbility and remDvlng financlal barriers lo receivlng holistio therapies and support.
