The objectives of the CIO are: 1) to advance the education and training of UK-based Afghans and other ethnicities and their dependents so as to advance them in life and assist them to adapt within a new community. 2) to provide facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of those persons who have **Summary of the objects of the** need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or **charity set out in its** disablement, financial hardship or social and economic **governing document** circumstances. The Hesark Islamic Community Centre in the UK is pleased to report its second annual achievements and activities in all targeted areas on which the HICC focused its objectives. The Hesarak Islamic Community Centre in the UK has undertaken several key activities for public benefit, focused on education, social integration, and community welfare. 1. Education and Training: Provided language and skills training for UK-based Afghans to help them adapt to life in the UK, mainly those who arrived newly in the UK. Organised workshops and courses on employment skills, cultural orientation, and professional development. HICC has provided very good facilities during the past year. 2. As the HICC is newly established and relies on its community fund, in the meantime, it has been providing good support to its clients. These initiatives have contributed to the integration, education, and overall well-being of Afghans and other ethnic communities.

Section D                      Achievements and performance 

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

## Wellbeing: 

HICC obtained very good and positive achievements during the past year and experienced its second year very well, and supported enhancing their education, mental health, welfare activities, and provided assistance on how to integrate in new society and a new environment. In fact, our charity support is really effective and efficient for the existing society. HICC provided an excellent opportunity to the community, arranged the EID festival, and reported the activities on the BBC Pashto website/facebook page(https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17yMJLa3mS/?mibextid=wwXIfr > It was the first time that they celebrated EiD festival to gather all in a friendly environment, and had their cultural activities. Volunteering: 

This charity also benefited from our young generation who completed their university degree in the UK, and provided a very professional and technical support to the HICC as volunteers. In fact, from their support, the HICC provided good services to its clients, which were significant achievements and performance during the reporting period. 

Sports activities: 

The HICC facilitated various sports activities in terms of Cricket and football. The T-shirts of the cricket team marked by HICC as a good supporter and sponsor of the Charity, the team organised several tournaments that were held with other communities, including newly arrived Afghans in the UK. We have contacted the PAIWAND association to cooperate with HICC in order to find suitable financial resources for our community in 2025. Thanks to the PAIWAND association and their youth project manager had a very good collaboration that provided us good supporter https//golondon.org/foundation, the HICC will contact (golondon.org.uk) to have their support for our cricket team in the future. 

## Support clients: 

The HICC supported clients who had problems with housing issues and communicating with Barnet Council about their housing problems. While their families arrived from Afghanistan, they had numerous issues and were struggling to deal with their difficulties, in terms of English problems and lack of legal information on how to communicate with the council, government and non- government entities. Our community activities were fully supported and satisfied with our support.

As this charity is new, don’t have sufficient budget and still relies on community fund, gradually and step by step will look for other sources of funding from the council and other entities that support charities. The charity policy is very clear to provide public services; it is in our mandate to target the charity’s objectives for the public benefits. In 2025, we contacted barnet councillor for further support.
