Migori charity was registered in its current legal form on 09 October 2023: CIO registration. 

## **Appointment of trustees** 

The management committee, which normally meets on the last Wednesday of each month, are the charity’s trustees. Membership of the management committee is open to all in the community . 

Trustees are elected at the annual general meeting which is held in September. There must be a minimum of four and a maximum of eight trustees. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

## **Charitable purposes** 

TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 18 YEARS LIVING IN LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION; (C) RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT; (D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITY IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS. 2. TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, SICKNESS AND POOR HEALTH AMONGST ELDERLY PEOPLE AGED OVER 65 LIVING IN LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW THROUGH ADVICE AND SUPPORTING THEIR INDEPENDENT LIVING.
