## **Structure, Governance and Management**
Al-Waris Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by its Constitution and regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The trustees are responsible for the governance, financial management and strategic direction of the charity.
## **Charitable Objects**
Preventing and relieving poverty; advancing education; advancing health; providing humanitarian assistance; supporting communities within the United Kingdom and internationally.
## **Activities and Achievements**
During the reporting period the charity remained in its establishment and development phase. Work included continued website development, developing governance and administrative procedures, planning fundraising, raising awareness and preparing systems for future humanitarian projects. No significant charitable projects were undertaken due to limited financial resources.
## **Public Benefit Statement**
The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. Work during the year focused on establishing the charity's governance and infrastructure to support future charitable activities.
## **Financial Review**
The charity received unrestricted voluntary donations of **£282** . No expenditure was paid directly from the charity's bank account. At the beginning of the financial year the trustees agreed that premises costs personally met by a trustee would be recognised as an interest-free trustee loan. During the reporting period this loan increased by **£8,400** . Cash held at 30 April 2025 was **£282** .
## **Reserves Policy**
The charity has not yet established a formal reserves policy due to its limited unrestricted income.
## **Risk Management**
Thetrusteesreviewed risksincluding limited fundraising income, limited financial resources and delays in commencing charitable activities.
## **Plans for Future Periods**
Expandfundraising,increasepublic awareness, launch charitable programmes, develop partnerships, improve governance and strengthen long-term financial sustainability.
