(FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS<br>CLAUSE "FACILITIES" MEANS LAND,<br>BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT, ACCESS TO<br>COACHING AND ORGANISING SPORTING<br>ACTIVITIES).<br>2. TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP AND<br>EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE<br>OF 18 LIVING IN HERNE BAY AND THE<br>SURROUNDING AREA THROUGH THE<br>PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE<br>TIME ACTIVITIES, PROVIDED IN THE<br>INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND<br>DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR<br>CONDITIONS OF LIFE, FOCUSED ON<br>ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL WHICH DEVELOP<br>THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND<br>CAPABILITIES, HELPING THEM TO MATURE<br>AS RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS IN SOCIETY<br>ABLE TO INTERACT WITH ADULTS,<br>THEIR PEER GROUP AND THE WIDER<br>COMMUNITY|

With an older team<br>completing their youth football journey, this<br>was complemented with 2 new under 7<br>teams, meaning our registered children<br>remains around 260 participants.<br>The club compete in 2 local footballing<br>leagues and our community based drop-in<br>session, Mini Harriers, has seen increased<br>engagement with local children at the<br>younger end of our offering, with this<br>continuing to be a great provision that<br>welcomes all children regardless of gender,<br>race, ability or health condition.<br>We have been fortunate to add 2 young<br>referees to our pool of local children who<br>have undertaken their refereeing<br>qualification, giving them transferable skills<br>to take outside of football. With many of our<br>referees being current or former players it is<br>great to see children remaining active and<br>engaged with their local football community.<br>Work continues with a local housing<br>developer to secure future pitches to<br>enhance our provision to participants and<br>the wider community. Whilst the building<br>project has delayed an year than originally<br>anticipated, the club are also in further<br>conversations with the local high school<br>about a pitch development opportunity.|

The club exceed the minimum<br>requirements of qualifications set by the FA,<br>Many coaches have completed formal<br>football coaching qualifications during the<br>year. The committee have agreed to fund 2<br>members on their UEFA C (level 2) course,<br>to gain additional training to better support<br>our children and mentor new volunteers.<br>We have provided opportunities to 2 young<br>people undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh<br>by allowing them to volunteer alongside our<br>qualified coaches.<br>Coaches run 2 sessions per week (match/<br>training), typically for a minimum 40 weeks.<br>A dedicated team of volunteers undertake<br>administrative and support roles. It’s<br>estimated volunteers provided 3,650 hours<br>of time during the year.|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31 / 05 / 2025** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
