## **PUBLIC BENEFIT**

In accordance with our objectives for this year, and with due regard to the published Charity Commission guidance on the operation of the Public Benefit requirements of the Charities Act 2006, the trustees have undertaken appropriate activities in furtherance of these aims for the public benefit. This report explains how our activities achieve public benefit.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**

Our principal funding sources are grants, individual giving, organisational giving, consultancy and charity partnerships.

The trustees of NXT Move Europe consider that an appropriate level of reserves that should be held to cover future funding needs is between 2 and 3 months historic costs (based upon the average costs incurred in the previous three-month period - excluding any large one off exceptional expenditure). At the year end our reserves, being the amounts held in bank accounts, amounted to £11,544.

The organisation’s ongoing giving and income is very stable, coming from diverse sources, and the trustees consider that it would be possible to take fundraising or cost saving action in good time should the reserves seem to be heading below target level. Reserves will be held on deposit in a current or deposit account with the organisation’s approved bankers.

As the charity grows, the trustees would like to increase the charity’s giving. The charity, therefore, has a grant making policy.

## **STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT**

The charity is a Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation and is governed by its constitution dated 3[rd] October 2023.

Apart from the first Charity Trustees, unless the Charity Trustees decide otherwise, every Charity Trustee must be appointed for a term of two years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the Charity Trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as Charity Trustees, the Charity Trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO. All Charity Trustees must subscribe and adhere to, in belief and lifestyle, the Statement of Faith.

## **Risks and uncertainties**

At quarterly meetings, the trustees discuss business risks and implement systems to mitigate these risk, ensuring they are regularly monitored. The principal risks the trustees recognise the charity facing are unforeseen demand for our services and the termination of funding from other services.
