Introduction
The trustees of Riverside Performing Arts Centre are pleased to present the annual report for the financial year ending 31[st] July 20204. This year has been one of significant planning and community engagement as we lay the groundwork for the future of the centre. While the charity has not yet raised any external funds, we are committed to utilizing existing school funds to match future donations, amplifying the impact of contributions from supporters.
Achievements and Performance
Despite the absence of fundraising income this financial year, we have achieved the following milestones:
- Feasibility Study Completion
A detailed feasibility study has been conducted for the construction of the Riverside Performing Arts Centre. This crucial step provides us with a clear understanding of the project's scope, costs, and timeline. It ensures that the plans for the centre are both realistic and sustainable.
- Collaborative Video Productions
In collaboration with BlinkInk, we produced a series of short videos featuring our students. These videos have been instrumental in showcasing the talent within our community and promoting the vision of the Riverside Performing Arts Centre to a wider audience.
- Luminarium Event
To raise awareness of the future site of the arts centre, we hosted a Luminarium , an interactive and visually stunning public event. The event was held on the grounds where the centre will be built and successfully engaged the community, sparking interest and excitement about the project.
- Stakeholders’ Night
A stakeholders’ evening was organized to introduce the Riverside Performing Arts Centre project to key local figures, including builders, councillors, and other decisionmakers. The event fostered constructive dialogue, built relationships, and secured valuable endorsements for the initiative.
Financial Position
As of the end of this financial year, the charity has not raised any external funds. However, we are fortunate to have school funds available, which we will allocate for match-funding purposes. This commitment ensures that every future donation will be effectively doubled, maximizing the financial resources dedicated to the centre’s development.
Challenges
While our progress in planning and community engagement has been strong, the primary challenge remains the initiation of fundraising efforts. The next financial year will focus on securing the necessary funds to bring our vision to life. Once the planning permission has been granted we will pursue the funders who has this as a requirement for committing money.

Riverside School is currently fronting all expenses for the build and the running of the charity.
Once we have planning permission and will begin the fundraising in earnest we will expect this to change.
