Youth for Christ and saw significant growth in both community engagement
and support for young people across Bangor and the surrounding area.
Across all streams of outreach and engagement, the charity reached just over
3,000 unique young people during the year.
Our weekly secondary-aged youth gathering ‘Youth.’ launched in September
2025 with more than 20 young people registered to attend regularly. We also
strengthened relationships with local schools, providing support and
worships in five secondary schools on topics including mental health and
wellbeing, ethics, and the Christian faith, including work carried out in
partnership with Gobaith Mon.
Alongside this, we managed to build and maintain a visible community
presence through supporting an after-school drop-in, participation in the
Bangor Summer Festival, and monthly prayer meetings focused on young
people and the work of the charity. The charity also supported local churches
through holiday clubs, a ‘Pizza and Purpose’ youth discipleship programme,
and more. These activities have helped create safe spaces for young people
to build community and explore the Christian faith.
These achievements would not have been possible without the commitment
of our trustees, and the seven new volunteers, whose service has laid a strong
