4 THE 1 is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) established with a Foundation Constitution. The trustees are also the sole members. Trustees are recruited and appointed in accordance with the governing document and Charity Commission guidance. Policies in place include safeguarding, safer recruitment, complaints, confidentiality, financial controls, anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, and modern slavery.

The charity’s objects are to provide relief to those in need due to poverty and ill health within the Azad Kashmir area of Pakistan through:
